Over the past nine months at Hampton Park Healing Collective, my soon-to-be wife and I have been offering movement & sound classes combining breath work, music, movement, sound, and energy healing to create unique experiences in the city center of downtown Charleston. I was born and raised in Charleston, and it has been a dream to offer classes in a historic building built in 1920 downtown in the city I grew up in. Over the past three years, I have been working in a public school. I taught at Wando High School 2022-2023 and North Charleston High School 2023-2024. While finishing graduate school at the College of Charleston, I began studying energy medicine in the spring of 2022. In the fall of 2022, I started a year-long yoga teacher training. In the spring of 2023, I began a year-long psychedelic training program. In the summer of 2023, Emily got certified in sound healing; during the day, she is a music agent, and at night, she is a sound-healing tarot star. When our powers combine, we call it movement & sound, and we also have reiki sound bath opportunities on the weekend. These classes are small! We have a maximum of 6 spots in the room featuring a historic fireplace. My yoga classes combine my love of music with my love of yoga. My flagship class is vinyl vinyasa, which features one record per class. These are typically 36-41-minute experiences with a 20-minute sound bath at the end of class. All classes begin with breathwork and end with sound. Emily's flagship classes are Tarot Soundbath classes, these are collective tarot readings that bring everyone together for a magical experience.
We offer a variety of classes during the busy work week, Monday through Sunday at 7 am, 6:30 PM, and 7:45 PM. At Hampton Park Healing Collective, we believe in providing a holistic pathway of wellness for all. You can sign up for classes on our websitelinked below and we are also on classpass. You can use the code FIRST50 for 50% off your first class.

Unfortunately, this is our last two months of operation! Emily & I are getting married June 22, and we will be out of town June 19 - July 5. In the meantime, we would love to meet you as we have met the most amazing people in the past nine months since opening our doors. We have absolutely adored this location, and in the past nine months, we have had the honor of working with over 500 people and hosting several successful community events highlighting local culture and arts. At the end of July Emily & I will be moving to Canada so that I can begin to study for a PhD in history. My historical research niche is plant medicine. I wrote my master's thesis at the College of Charleston From Scandalized Experiments to Standardized Therapy: MDMA and Race in Modern America in 2022. It's published online if you want to check it out on ProQuest. Please come check out a class, and let's chat about the future of healing in America!
